      Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin

A berry-soaked gin that redefined the rules - juicy, bold, and unapologetically purple.

There's a reason this gin has achieved cult status - it's a category-bending creation that combines the best of the Yarra Valley's cool-climate Shiraz with the precision and polish of Four Pillars' award-winning Rare Dry Gin. Each year, whole Shiraz grapes are steeped in the gin for eight weeks, their skins bleeding colour and character into the spirit until it takes on that unmistakable rich purple hue. The result is entirely unfiltered and unapologetically vivid - no added sugar, no artificial flavour, just the natural interplay of gin botanicals and ripe, sun-kissed fruit.

On the nose, there's an instant burst of dark berries, blood plum and orange zest, followed by a subtle echo of clove and dried herbs that hint at the gin beneath. The palate is lush but never cloying - all blackcurrant and cherry, with warming spice and a gentle touch of tannin giving it structure. It drinks like a love letter to both gin and wine, with the botanical backbone still very much present, but wrapped in layers of Shiraz richness. The finish is clean, long, and slightly savoury, making it surprisingly moreish whether served chilled, on the rocks, or as the base of an inventive cocktail.

Bloody Shiraz Gin is remarkably versatile. It makes a bold G&T with a Mediterranean or light tonic and a slice of orange, but it's equally at home served neat over ice or shaken into a fruity twist on a sour. It's the kind of bottle that draws people in - including those who swear they "don't like gin" - and opens the door to a more playful, expressive side of the category. Each batch has its own subtle character thanks to the seasonal nature of the grapes, making every release slightly different, but always unmistakably Four Pillars. This isn't just a flavoured gin - it's a benchmark in the movement toward innovation without compromise. A must-have for anyone who loves flavour, but still respects the spirit.

    Four Pillars

This boutique Australian distillery creates some of the countries’ best, award-winning gin. The four pillars of which this distillery founded their philosophy include only the highest quality German copper stills, Australian and internationally sourced botanicals and only the best water from the Yarra Valley. Combined with the love they pour into every bottle, Four Pillars Distillery has a clear purpose in mind, to elevate the craft of distilling in Australia and celebrate the art of cocktail making.

Crafted in a truly modern Australian style, founders Stu, Matt and Cam’s drive to create Four Pillars can be summed up as follows: “We just love great drinks, we love cocktails, and we love craft.”

Bars and at-home bartenders alike love their gin that carries big flavor. With Four Pillars winning double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016 and 2014, and also securing the 'Master' medal at the Global Gin Masters in London in both 2015 and 2016, this little gem hidden in the Yarra Valley is a real winner.
