Glann ar Mor Single Malt was produced using Maris Otter barley — a traditional English heritage barley variety — distilled in two small direct-fired copper pot stills at the Pleubian distillery, on the coast of Brittany. Open-flame heating of the copper stills is a traditional technique associated with early Scotch whisky making, giving the distillate a slightly different thermal profile to steam-heated production. The spirit was matured in oak casks in the coastal Breton maritime environment, absorbing the character of the Atlantic seaboard. The 2020 release is a bottling by Celtic Whisky Compagnie of pre-2015 Glann ar Mor stock, presented at 46% ABV.
