Glenmorangie 'A Tale of Forest' is produced by kilning the barley with woodland botanicals — including juniper berries, birch bark, and heather flowers — before distillation in the distillery's extraordinarily tall copper pot stills in Tain. This pre-distillation botanical treatment at the malting stage infuses the barley with aromatic woodland compounds that are carried through mashing, fermentation, and distillation. The whisky is then matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, developing notes of pine, juniper, and citrus alongside the distillery's characteristic floral and honeyed character. A limited edition bottling at 46% ABV, designed by artist Pomme Chan.

Glenmorangie Distillery is located in Tain, Ross-shire, in the northern Highlands of Scotland, on the shores of the Dornoch Firth. Founded in 1843, it is one of Scotland's most distinctive distilleries — known for its extraordinarily tall pot stills, whose 8-metre-high necks are the tallest in Scotland. These tall stills force the heavier alcohol compounds to fall back into the pot for redistillation, producing an exceptionally light, floral, and delicate new-make spirit.
