Glenmorangie 'A Tale of Winter' is a 13-year-old Highland single malt matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks at the Tain distillery before finishing in Marsala wine casks from Sicily. Marsala is a fortified wine from western Sicily — a style that ranges from dry to sweet and contributes rich notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and caramelised fig. The Marsala cask finish adds warmth and depth to the distillery's characteristically light, floral Tain spirit. 'A Tale of Winter' was created by Dr. Bill Lumsden as a limited edition in the Tales of Glenmorangie series, evoking the sensory warmth of winter. 46% ABV.

Glenmorangie Distillery is located in Tain, Ross-shire, in the northern Highlands of Scotland, on the shores of the Dornoch Firth. Founded in 1843, it is known for its extraordinarily tall pot stills — at 8 metres the tallest in Scotland — whose height prevents heavier alcohol compounds from reaching the neck, producing an exceptionally light and floral new-make spirit. The distillery draws on hard water from the Tarlogie Springs, filtered through sandstone and limestone. Glenmorangie is now owned by LVMH and led by Director of Whisky Creation Dr. Bill Lumsden, who has pioneered a series of experimental cask-finished and limited-edition expressions through the Tales of Glenmorangie collection.
