In 1865, inspired by the decorative handle of his office window, Maurice Hennessy created the star symbol that he would use to classify his cognacs. Thus was born the Three Star Cognac, better known today as V.S. Hennesey V.S. is a blend of more than 40 eaux de vie from the four premier growing areas of the cognac region.
Brassy gold with gold hue. Moderately aromatic nose yields subtle aromas of dried fruits, old wood and pepper. An off dry, medium to full bodied palate offers flavours of boiled confectionary and dried fruits with a peppery kick, before a drying tannic finish sets in. Reasonable aftertaste of pepper and sweet leather with a touch of caramel and tumeric. The standard in entry level Cognac.
