J.J. Corry 'The Hanson' is a blended grain Irish whiskey named after J.J. Corry's son-in-law and exciseman, who was a trusted figure in the original 19th-century bonding business. The blend draws on grain whiskeys from two Irish distilleries: approximately 70% sourced from Cooley Distillery — a mashbill of 70% corn and 30% malted barley, aged a minimum of ten years in ex-bourbon barrels — and 30% from Great Northern Distillery, made from 85% corn and 15% malted barley, aged a minimum of six years in bourbon barrels. Both components are matured entirely in American oak ex-bourbon casks before blending and bottling at the McGuane family rackhouse. Bottled at 46% ABV.

J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey was founded in 2015 by Louise McGuane on the McGuane family farm in Cooraclare, County Clare, Ireland, reviving the historic Irish practice of whiskey bonding — in which a bonder sources new-make spirit from distilleries, matures it in their own warehouses, and releases it as their own expression. The brand is named after J.J. Corry, a celebrated 19th-century whiskey bonder from County Clare. McGuane is widely credited as Ireland's first modern whiskey bonder and the first woman to found an Irish whiskey house. Whiskey is sourced from Irish distilleries and matured in a purpose-built bonded rackhouse on the McGuane farm.
