KAH Anejo stands out not just for its striking calavera (skull) bottle, but for how it treats aged tequila with respect for both agave and oak. Produced at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos (NOM 1472) in Jalisco, this spirit starts with 100% Blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in traditional ovens and double-distilled to preserve core vegetal and earthy character.
Ageing runs a full two years in American oak, a step that delivers depth and structure without pushing agave into the background. The nose is dark and layered - caramel, cocoa, toasted spice, and barrel-born smoke, underpinned by steady roasted agave. The palate is rich but balanced: butterscotch, charred oak, espresso, and a flicker of dried fruit, all wrapped around a savoury, earthy core.
KAH Anejo is built for sipping neat - no garnish needed - though it can handle a robust, spirit-forward cocktail with ease.
