Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength 2025 is the annual limited-edition cask strength release of Kilchoman's signature Machir Bay expression, produced at Rockside Farm on Islay. Machir Bay is named after the bay on the western coast of Islay that lies closest to the distillery. The expression is aged primarily in first-fill American bourbon barrels — which contribute vanilla, honey, and coconut — with a portion finished in Oloroso sherry casks for an additional layer of dried fruit and dark spice. The 2025 edition is bottled at natural cask strength — 58.1% ABV — without chill-filtration or added colour, representing the full, unmodified character of the selected Islay casks.

Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills on the Rockside Farm on the western coast of Islay, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. It is one of Islay's youngest distilleries and the only true farm distillery on the island — Kilchoman grows a portion of its own barley on the surrounding farmland, malts it in its own floor maltings, and peats it over Islay peat cut from the local moss. The distillery uses water from the Rockside Farm spring and produces an Islay-style heavily peated single malt. Kilchoman is a fully integrated farm-to-bottle operation, completing every stage of whisky production on-site in western Islay.
