Cherubino Wines began in 2005 with the release of one wine. A lot has happened since. The range has grown, and along the way, they have been awarded the Winery Of The Year by respected wine critics such as James Halliday and Matt Skinner.

The fruit was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed directly into 30% new French oak, 70% old French oak from a combination of forests – Vosges, Troncais and Allier. Juice naturally fermented in barrel with only10% allowed to go through full malolactic fermentation.

Pale straw colour with aromas of roasted nuts, peach and sweet citrus blossom and complex oak spices. Flavours of citrus, mineral salts and a fine, long acidity.

    Larry Cherubino Wines

Larry Cherubino has had a distinguished winemaking career - first at Hardys Tintara, then Houghtons and thereafter as a consultant Winemaker in Australia, NZ, South Africa, the US and Italy.

The first wine was released in 2005 and the range now includes 3 tiers. At the top is Cherubino (Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon) and the next tier is The Yard, which includes five single-vineyard wines from Western Australia and at the lower end is the Ad Hoc label, which are single region wines. Rated highly among wine critics and punters alike, currently holding a 5 red star winery rating from James Halliday, it's impossible not to see the value in his wines which are of the highest quality, and marked at very reasonable prices.
