While the rest of the world gets faster, and things just aren't as good as they used to be, the quality of Springbank's whisky remains stalwart.

Based in Campbeltown, once the Whisky Capital of Scotland, this distillery continues to do everything with minimal automation. Founded in 1828, much about production remains the same today as it was all the way back in the 1960s and earlier. This dedication to consistency and quality is why they have earned a significant following in recent years.

Longrow is the peated, double distilled sub-style of Springbank.

Beloved by many for being the most robust and flavourful of Springbank's three styles, Longrow is named and styled after a long closed distillery that once operated beside Springbank.

Longrow Peated does not bare an age-statement, but it is widely known to be a mixture of barrels from 7 to 14 Years Old, with the younger spirit contributing to the strength of the peat and smoke influence. Aged entirely in ex-Bourbon and Sherry Casks.

The nose is loaded with that signature Springbank creamy malt, but there is also smoke that builds as the whisky opens in the glass. Creme brulee, baked fruits and a herbaceousness follow the smoke.

On the palate, hints of medicinal peat, and then a bold, balanced combination of malt, smoke and caramelised fruit.

This is a whisky that is hard to put down.
