Napoleoon (200ml): Fresh and elegant with soft vanilla, floral top notes, and candied citrus. Smooth and rounded on the palate. XO (200ml): Complex and silky with flavours of almond, dark caramel, and warming spice. Long and balanced. Reserve Speciale (200ml): Rich and mature, offering deep notes of honey, black tea, leather, and very old oak. Satin-smooth with excellent length. Overall: A beautifully curated trio that introduces the house's signature elegance and evolution across ageing.

Distillation & Provenance

Crafted only for our premium spirits

Distillation

The Maison Audry Cognac Discovery Box presents three 200mL expressions from the Audry range — a tasting selection designed to introduce the house's Fine Champagne Cognac style across multiple expressions. All Maison Audry Cognacs are produced from eaux-de-vie distilled in traditional Charentaise copper pot stills (alembic charentais) from wine grown in Grande and Petite Champagne — the two highest-ranking crus of the Cognac appellation. The double distillation in Charentaise stills produces a delicate, aromatic spirit that is then aged in Limousin or Tronçais oak barrels, developing floral, dried fruit, and spice character through long cask contact. All at 40% ABV.

Provenance

Maison Audry is a family-owned Cognac house established in 1878 by Auguste Edmond Audry in Cognac, Charente, France. The house has drawn exclusively on eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne — the two finest crus within the Cognac appellation — for five generations. After navigating the interwar period and World War II, during which Cognac was in an occupied zone, the Réserve was left to rest after the death of Henri Audry in 1955, before his son Bernard relaunched the house in 1984. Today, Maison Audry blends Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, with Grande Champagne providing long-ageing potential and Petite Champagne contributing finesse and elegance.

About this Spirits

Cognac

Cognac is named after the town of Cognac in France and is a variety of brandy. It is produced in the wine-growing region surrounding the town from which it takes its name. Ugni Blanc, which is known locally as Saint-Emilion, is the one most commonly used grape to produce Cognac. The region is divided in to six zones, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bordeies, Fins Bois, Bon Bois and lastly Bois Ordinaire, not to be confused with Champagne, the premier sparkling wine region in north east France.

Strict guidelines must be followed for a distilled brandy to be legally labelled as a Cognac by the Appellation d’origine contrôlée. Only specific grapes are allowed to be used, of which Ugni Blanc is the most common. The brandy must be distilled twice in copper pot stills and aged for a minimum of 24 months in French oak barrels from Limousis or Tronçais.

Blending is very common in Cognacs, and the age is derived from the age of the youngest grapes used in the blend. Cognacs develop and age in a similar way to Scotch Whiskies, though most Cognacs can age much longer than the legal requirement due to the time spent in the French oak barrels.
