Tasting Notes
Michel Couvreur is the premier Whisky Bottling & Blending house of France, located in the hills of Burgundy where the original founder dug out his famous underground cask cellars decades ago.
With a reputation for producing deeply complex, unfiltered whiskies aged in the highest quality Sherry & Wine casks, Michel Couvreur's spirits are trusted and adored around the world for the bold characteristics they display.
Whereas the majority of the whisky aging in the Couvreur cellars are Single Malts from Scotland, the Hexanobile is a Blended Malt tapped from another country's burgeoning whisky industry.
This new expression is a blend of 3 French Single Malts, aged in a full spectrum of sherry casks. 10 Barrels, split between Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez. The spirit itself is split between 2013 and 2017 vintages, maintaining a balance of aged and youthful notes.
