Moutai Chun 1992 is produced in Maotai, Guizhou, using the complex jiang xiang baijiu method: locally grown red shell waxy sorghum and wheat are fermented in underground stone-lined pits through multiple rounds, with the spirit distilled in batches across nine distillations. The resulting spirit fractions are blended and aged for a minimum of three years in ceramic vessels, developing the characteristic sauce-aroma profile of Maotai production — layered aromas of soy, dried fruit, orchid, and pineapple, with a mellow, balanced palate of fresh nuts, apricot, jasmine, and vanilla. The Chun 1992 expression is designed for a wider, more approachable audience. Bottled at 53% ABV.
