This is an uncompromising exploration of Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, presented in one of Melbourne’s most iconic dining rooms.

Hosted by Armand de Maigret, Estate Manager of Screaming Eagle, the evening offers rare, direct insight into the decisions that define the estate today. Rockpool Melbourne’s private setting delivers scale and elegance, while maintaining the intimacy required for a dinner of this calibre.

The evening begins with Delamotte Brut NV, before moving into Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc 2022. Precise and restrained, it sets the tone for the night ahead. 

Jonata Todos, Alma and El Desafio 2021 follow, allowing Armand to broaden the discussion and demonstrate how Screaming Eagle’s philosophy translates across vineyards, varieties and regions.

The Flight is presented as a point of reference. Three vintages poured together, examined for structure, evolution and expression, sharpening the lens before the main event.

The centrepiece of the dinner is the Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon vertical. Three vintages, each telling a different story of intent, time and restraint. This is where the conversation deepens. Armand connects what is in the glass to decisions made years earlier in the vineyard and cellar, offering a level of insight rarely available outside the estate itself.
