Teremana Añejo is made from 100% mature Blue Weber Agave grown in the Jalisco highlands, processed at Destilería Teremana de Agave (NOM 1613). The piñas are slow-cooked in small brick ovens at a lower temperature than most producers for 72 hours — a longer, gentler cook that draws out sweetness without harsh char — then distilled in small 3,800-litre copper pot stills. The Añejo expression is aged in American whiskey barrels for a minimum of one year, developing layered notes of vanilla, roasted agave, warm oak, and caramel over the vibrant, fruit-forward blue agave base. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 700mL format as the premium tier of the Teremana range.

Teremana Tequila was founded by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson alongside business partners Ken Austin, Jenna Fagnan, Dany García, and the López family of Jalisco, Mexico. The name combines the Latin word 'terra' (earth) and the Polynesian word 'mana' (spirit) — 'spirit of the earth'. Teremana is produced at Destilería Teremana de Agave, holding NOM 1613 in the Jalisco highlands. Johnson had been personally involved in the recipe development, product design, and launch of the range since its inception. The brand launched in early 2020 and grew rapidly to become one of the fastest-growing tequila brands in the United States.
