The 2023 release is all comfort and creativity, designed for sharing, sipping, and reflection. It’s festive without being loud — like an old family story told by firelight.
The nose is like walking into a pastry kitchen on a cold day: butter cookies baking, candied citrus hanging in syrup, almond shortbread dusted with sugar, and warm milk chocolate melting over crushed hazelnuts. There’s dried apricot, golden sultana, and a pinch of cinnamon.
The palate is soft but flavourful. Butterscotch and orange marmalade lead, followed by spiced sponge cake, toasted grain, and a splash of sweet tea. It’s smooth — the kind of dram that’s made for slow sipping in good company. Nothing out of place. Everything feels deliberate.
Mid-palate brings honeycomb, marzipan, roasted nuts, and a little toasty malt. The Sherry influence is there, but it plays in the background like ambient music — adding depth without dominating.
