The Macallan Harmony Collection is an annual release series exploring different cask and natural material influences. The 2024 Vibrant Oak expression draws its character primarily from toasted American virgin oak and rejuvenated sherry casks — a departure from The Macallan's dominant European sherry oak tradition — producing a brighter, more vibrant style: light golden colour, pronounced vanilla and toffee from the virgin oak, with fresh citrus, apple, and subtle smoke from the wood interaction. The whisky is bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring at 44.2% ABV. The Harmony Collection packaging, designed sustainably with natural materials, reflects the distillery's commitment to environmental responsibility on the Easter Elchies Estate.

The Macallan Distillery is located on the Easter Elchies Estate in Speyside, Scotland, on the banks of the River Spey near Craigellachie, Moray. The distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid and is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. The Macallan is internationally recognised for its commitment to sherry oak maturation: the distillery operates its own cooperage programme commissioning specially constructed oak casks seasoned with sherry in Spain before use. A new distillery was opened on the Easter Elchies Estate in 2018, featuring gravity-fed production and maintaining continuity with the distillery's original spirit character.
