Willett Pot Still Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey distilled in copper pot stills — a genuinely rare approach in American bourbon production, where column stills dominate. The pot still is operated on the distillery production floor and directly inspired the distinctive teardrop-shaped carafe bottle design that houses the whiskey. The bourbon is aged for a minimum of five years in new white American oak barrels and bottled at 47% ABV — above the 40% legal minimum, preserving the richer pot still character. The expression shows flavours of vanilla, burnt caramel, toasted grain, and warming oak spice characteristic of pot still Kentucky bourbon.

Willett Distillery is a fifth-generation, family-owned distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky — the heart of Bourbon Country. The Willett family's distilling history traces to John David Willett during Reconstruction, and the Willett Distilling Company was established in Bardstown in 1936 when Lambert Willett and his son Thompson broke ground on the current site. The distillery later came under Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, established in 1984 by Lambert's granddaughter Martha Willett and her husband Even Kulsveen, who preserved the family legacy. Willett Pot Still Reserve was introduced in 2008, earning the Gold Medal for taste and a Double Gold Medal for bottle design at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
