Critic Scores

95% MV6, 5% D4V2 clone, hand-picked, an average of 20% whole bunches (separate batches 0-30%), wild-fermented, 8-15 days on skins, matured for 11 months in French oak (20% new). Supple and smooth; red fruits in the ascendant on the expressive bouquet and palate. Gentle spices will grow over time, adding another dimension to an already compelling wine.

Moody, brooding, fine perfume. Wafts from the glass with a serene elegance, which sounds highfaluting, but you get the sense something special is happening here. Degrees of cherry fruit, sweet spice, fine cedar, sandalwood, earth, herbs, complex detail right here. Succulent in the palate, concentrated but light and fresh, fine tannins, fresh, then tannins slide in and tighten the wine. Supreme elegance.
