    • Description

It’s supremely age worthy, varietal and expressive of the terroir, displaying exceptional tannins and palate while offering extraordinarily good value.

A rich, complex, and intense but balanced wine with beautiful texture and tannins. Primary fruit characters lead the way with black and red fruits including blackberries, red currants, red plums, and hint of a floral note. An attractive savoury, umami character with some dried herbs supports the fruit. Mouth covering and filling, very smooth and silky tannins. Lovely mid palate and a lingering finish.

    Huntington Estate

Huntington Estate was established in 1969 and is based in Mudgee's vineyard. It was given 5 star rating in the James Halliday Wine Companion 2012 and 2013 and was the winner of 111 Trophies at the 2012 & 2013 Mudgee Win Show, including Most Successful Exhibitor.

The vineyard at Huntington Estate has 24 separate varietal blocks within the 40 hectares, and most soils are sandy loam sitting above well drained, permeable clay, although every block varies dramatically. Most vines are at their prime in terms of quality as they are now 46 years old. White wines are normally fermented cold in stainless steel tanks and reds are fermented on skins for up to 10 days. French and American oak barrels are used on all red wines and a few whites. Red wines usually stay in these barrels for 2 years before being bottled on-site.
