Les Héritiers Saint-Genys operates in Morgon, the most structured of Beaujolais's ten cru villages, located in the southern Rhône region of France. The estate's vineyards occupy the distinctive blue-porphyry granite soils and decomposed bedrock characteristic of Morgon's terroir, which produce Gamay with mineral density and tannin structure. The 2023 vintage experienced warm, dry growing conditions with good ripeness development. Traditional Beaujolais viticulture practises are employed, emphasising low yields and balanced ripeness.

Morgon Rouge Aux Charmes is produced using semi-carbonic or traditional fermentation methods that preserve Gamay's fruit character whilst developing structure. Harvest is hand-sorted, and grapes ferment with extended skin contact to extract colour and tannin. The wine typically matures briefly in neutral or concrete vessels rather than new oak, emphasising terroir over wood influence. The 'Aux Charmes' designation reflects fruit from prime vineyard parcels within Morgon known for producing wines with particular charm and finesse.
