Hirsch Vineyard is recognized as one of the premier sites for pinot noir in the new world. David Hirsch planted his vineyard overlooking the Pacific Ocean in 1980, making it the oldest premium pinot vineyard on the True Sonoma Coast. Since then it has become one of the most sought-after sources for pinot noir grapes in California, providing fruit to Littorai, Williams Selyem, Kistler and many others. In 2002, Hirsch began producing its own estate pinot noirs and chardonnays from this complex, cool-weather site. These are wines of balance, concentration, complexity and site-specificity. After 37 years on the extreme Sonoma Coast, we decided it was time to bring our wines a bit closer to civilization. For the first time, we’re delighted to offer you the opportunity to taste our wines without having to drive out to the remote Sonoma Coast. At the Hirsch Tasting Room, visitors will experience the True Sonoma Coast and the story of Hirsch Vineyards, through the lens of our wines.
